FloStation Arcade Stick
FloStation is an arcade stick I built for my cousin Florian. Dedicated to emulation, based on a Raspberry Pi 3, it interfaces with a TV via HDMI, and a USB controller can be connected for a second player. A green backlight is diffused from underneath.

Build
If you wish to reproduce it, it is doable on a budget of around €100. All resources are available on the project’s GitHub page.
The plans were designed in FreeCAD. Here is a preview of the final result (interactive 3D view):
The sides were made from 16 mm plywood panels. The four panels making up the body were made from 1 cm MDF, covered with a 0.75 mm plexiglass sheet, bent to cover all visible surfaces. The back panel was 3D printed; it houses the HDMI connector, the USB port for an additional controller, and the power connector.
Hardware
Here are some details about the hardware used.
System
The system is a Raspberry Pi 3, sufficient for emulating older games up to the Nintendo 64. Retropie is the operating system chosen for its wide customization possibilities.
The boot screen was customized by creating this short video in Blender:
Power Supply
Power is provided by an external AC adapter that delivers 5V to the Raspberry Pi through a 5.5 × 2.1 mm connector.
